It should go without saying that Neta’s appearance was part of their art. Changing every day. Always surprising. Always looking to shake up the status quo at a fairly conventional private school. And taking risks. Bucking authority. I was called in for a meeting w the US head to discuss Neta’s use of menstrual blood in artwork. Admin wanted it not mentioned in the AP presentation. I sited many feminist artists who broke that ground already (Anna Mendieta, Frida Khalo, etc). Admin didn’t really get it…
